“Stripped” embodies trauma stored within Quilan "Cue" Arnold as he remembers and researches the bigotry against Afro-Usonians/Blacks during enslavement, Jim Crow, and the modern era. The work also expresses his struggle, as a perceived Black man, to reconnect with his ancestors and his culture.
